PVC Pipe Expander

My father in-law picked up a couple of hundred lengths of 125mm x 4.8mm WT PVC pipe without bell ends. This tool was designed to be used with a heater I built (a box with two heat guns) to create the flared end to the correct diameter and then be wound out to allow extraction after the bell end had cooled.

The tool functions as designed, but the PLC material I printed it with softens at the forming temperature of the PVC pipe and so was not effective for the intended use. Will work with a different, higher temperature material.

1. 12 x M6 x 1.0mm x 35mm Socket Head Cap Screws
2. 12 x M6 x 1.0m Nylock Nuts
3. 1 x M12 x 1.75mm x 100mm Heavy Hex Head Screw
4. 1 x M12 x 1.75mm Hex Nut Type 1
5. Grease (between the Spreader Sections and the Base Plate)
