The Design consists:
a: Guidance with a tight fit. Please check the “TryOut.3mf”. In my case the fit gets tight with a left to right orientation (along the x-axis) and less tight along the y-axis. I needed to postprocess the printed threads, maybe pecause of the carbon PC, as the thread was to narrow.
b: a enlargement for the Guidance if you need it. Just connect them with 3mm rods. Maybe you have to drill the printed parts as the cylinders are not perfectly round. I used a 3mm drill for the Guidance and a 3.3 mm for the enlargement.
The guidance is created to reuse the orignial Mitre gauge and the red plastic arrow. If you want to use the one with the 15° steps go on, if not you are done.
c: Housing and Lock. I used a spring with 5.5 mm and a compressed length of 12 mm.
d: Mitre Gauge with possibility to easyly lock the angular. Also an option to enlarge the gauge with a longer saw stop is possible. The treads are included.
I used prusa carbon PC on the Guidance to reduce the friction between saw table and guidance. Extrudr GreenTEC Pro Carbon @ the Mitre Gauge to change the color for improved readability. ABS, PETG, PMMA or something else might also work.
I used the E3D V6 Nozzle X nozzle, to have smooth surfaces and due to the compatibility with the fibers.
If you print PC, please remove the fan shroud, it will slowly melt an cause issues during the print, even if its also made from PC.
