When laser cutting with my XTOOL M1 I like to dismount the Blade Housing, also to gain more height between the tool head and the material or mounting options used. To securely store the housing while not in use I designed this xTool M1 Blade Case which also can hold the spare blades.

How To Use It

Unmount your Blade Housing and put the blade down into the holder/stand. Don't worry, you can leave the blade inside the housing, there is enough spacing and the blade won't get damaged. Add your spare blades into the small holes to have everything nicely together. I added two rows, so you can store a pack of spare 45° blades and the 60° blades if you have them.

Printing & Assembly Tips & Options

There are two options available:

  1. Wooden Top Plate: This is the option shown in the pictures, with a 3D printed base and a nice laser-cut wooden top plate. Just print the model provided for being used with the wooden top plate and laser cut a 3mm piece of wood using the also provided SVG. The wood piece press fits into the printed base, no glue is needed (at least in my case).
TIP: While laser cutting also add some engravings to label the holes which hold the spare blades, just as I did shown in the pictures (this is not part of the provided SVG).
  2. Fully Printed: For those who just want a quickly printed holder, you can use this model which prints in one piece and doesn't require an additional wooden top plate.

When it comes to 3D printing there nothing special to take care of, it's a simple box. Simply use PLA (or whatever you want), a ≥ 0.2mm layer height is fully sufficient. I went with 10% rectangular infill to print faster. No support is needed.
