A very simple micro SD card to normal (full size) SD card modification for the Ender 3. No new parts required (aside from the SD card reader), just print and install.
I designed this part so that NO SUPPORTS are required. I hate having to remove supports! Especially in specific geometry where this can lead to breaking the part.
Therefore, just print the part upright like shown in the Cura snapshot image and you're good to go. I had to include a 12 mm brim so that the part is stable enough during printing, but removing this brim is very easy and won't ruin your part.
You will (obviously) need to buy the SD card reader ($10 on Amazon).
I included the SolidWorks files in case you want to make some changes.
Printer Brand:
Creality
Printer:
Ender 3 Pro
Rafts:
Yes
Supports:
No
Resolution:
0.8
Infill:
100%
Filament: AMZ3D PLA Lake Blue
Notes:
I used a 0.8 mm nozzle (prints faster), however this will print fine with the standard 0.4 mm nozzle also.
I used 100% infill because of the nozzle size I used, feel free to change this to whatever you want, like the more standard 20% if using a 0.4 mm nozzle.
Use a 12 mm brim (or raft) to maintain the part solidly onto the bed.
No supports needed (the part is designed specifically to avoid the use of supports).
Edit (2023-03-06): Added STEP and IGES files for importing into other CAD software.
