It may not be the most custom, clever or practical of holders, but it sure is aesthetically pleasing, weighted and elegant to use.
I wanted to design a glasses holder that would look lovely around the room or home, it didn't need to have a clip or fancy mechanism or even a cover. I just needed a bed for my glasses to rest while I got some sleep at night.
I've always liked ridges, ripples and waves in 3D prints, I feel like they work well with prints. Also thicc layer lines, they look so cool and I wanted a model that would emphasises the layers to be a part of the appearance and aesthetic. I had some fun taking the macro shots.
I used a 0.8mm (Revo) and 0.55mm layer height with variable layers getting thinner at the top of the model.
