After trying all of the different angled mounts i could find i realized that i was still getting a significant amount of drag through the MMU unit to the point i was not able to even have a good single filament print through it. I have a ikea lack enclosure that suits me well for everything else except the MMU prints. since i had already put the extenders in to make it a bit taller, i had enough space inside to get more aggressive with the angle of the MMU2 unit itself.
Previously i changed the angle of the filament exit on the storage containers to keep with the natural curve of the filament as it comes off the spool. so with this new angle, it reduces the amount of drastic angle change as it passes through the MMU unit.
I am using NO buffer as it back feeds the excess loosely on to the spools.
so far this has worked well for me.
I am including the step files in case someone wants to get even more agressive with the design.
