I designed this mount after looking around at other designs and not seeing anything i liked. I took what i liked from the designs that were out there and designed this version. This mount slides over a part of the x-axis gantry next to the stepper motor, around the the v-slot wheel
This was designed utilizing the stl files for the btt sfs and Ender 3 to ensure a very satisfying precise fit and alignment on your printer! This is important so that there is zero moment or play on the sensor during operation otherwise you can get false positives.
This design is compatible with many Ender 3 derived printers if you can confirm a specific printer in the comments i will add it to the compatibility list.
Currently the mount is compatible with the following printers:
I think the design will work on the following printers from looking at images of them, if anyone can confirm I'll add it to the list of supported printers:
I printed the mount using 0.2mm layer height on the stock Cura Ender 3 pro profile, no supports. The model should be printed with the U Slot pointing up. The bottom of the print is made flat for easy printing with no overhangs or bridges.
First remove the middle two set of screws from the back of your BTT SFS. Make sure you have the long bolts that came with the sensor which are M3x14 (M3x12 screws should also work).
From here you can attach the mount to the back using the screws.
Once this is done simply slide the mount over the metal wheel mounting bracket.
