I wanted a way to store my 5 inch orbital sandpaper discs but all the designs I kept finding use too much filament. Some are good but this one is even simpler. A 5 opening holder will use about 150gram of filament which is a fraction of a spool.
The opening with is 130mm which can handle slightly oversized paper. The opening height is 36mm. I didn't include labels for each grit size but I left a square area where a pain marker can be used to write it down. It can be placed vertically, on its side or on its back. I don't have anything to stop them from rolling out when placed on the side but it's not been a problem for me so far.
I included designs for anywhere from 1 section to 8 sections which you can print if your printer is large enough. If you want larger you can always just glue a few together.
I printed this with just PLA and the wall are thick enough to handle the sandpaper weight. The model can be placed with the opening at top and all the overhangs will be 45 degrees at most.
The cover picture is the model provided. The others are attempt to add some tabs to stack them but I think they didn't work well and are not required. To stack simply use a bit of crazy glue.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
