I decided to create this model after having taken a look at some of MC Escher's tessellation artworks. I took a more nature based approach, basing my tessellation on three different animals: a bird, dog and fish.
I highly recommend that you print the different tiles in different colors
(eg. Bird → Blue, Dog → Yellow, Fish → Green)
To print this model, I recommend using a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.15/0.2mm layer height.
I have provided .3mf and .stl files along with .step files, so feel free to tweak the model to your needs. To allow for an easy assembly, I have inset each tile by 0.15mm. If you do decide to print this model, I would be grateful for any feedback you could give (especially regarding tolerances etc.)
