This Thing is meant for opening and retaining (fixing at open position) of BioContainer (containers for organic waste).
With the swung side you may open the lid of the organic container (lid is spring loaded), once completely open you put the opposite side into the opening edge. Thus keep the lid open and have two free hands for disposing your organics per emptying your bucket or drop the paper bags.
Once done, you carefully lift a little bit more, disengage the lower hook from the edge and slowly close the lid. Don't unclapse it, it may cause damage to the lid, to your nicely 3D-printed Opener_And_Retainer, of organic mud may splash all over you! Don't drop the part into the container!
Tips:
a) Before you print the handle make a trial of 5-10 layers, then abort the print. Check if the handle fits over the long parts. Probably you may need to adjust the size for a smooth fit, then reprint. I printed the handle in upright position, mind some raft or skirts for not dtesroying the "tower" handle, as it has little surface compared to the height! Good luck!
b) Use a approx. Ø10mm dowel pin of plastic or wood to joing the long parts. Be careful not to exaggerate the diameter thus you damage the part. I used a glue additionally.
c) glue in the handle for better fixation.
