Evo X AEM X-Series Gauge Cluster Mounts

These are custom designed gauge cluster mounts for the Lancer Evolution X. They are designed to work with AEM X-Series low profile gauges. These mounts require the use of 3mm threaded heat-set inserts (with screws) and modification to the stock cluster for mounting. I have provided two additional files as drill templates which are contoured to the cluster for easier marking of where to drill, however you will be modifying at your own risk.

In order to create these files, I ordered a used cluster trim piece on ebay, painted it, and scanned it into 3D using a Revopoint POP2 scanner. I imported the scanned surface model into CAD for accurate modeling. It took several revisions to position the gauges where I like them, providing the best combination of visibility while not obscuring the stock gauge cluster.

Two important notes:

1. I would recommend printing in ABS or ASA or something to can withstand the abuse of being inside a hot car during the summer. PLA tends to warp from my experience.
2. You will need to set the stock gauge cluster brightness, and pull the plastic button from the housing before you can re-install the cluster trim. The right side gauge pod blocks this button and interferes with it. I didn't feel like this is a major drawback because I have owned this car for well over a decade and cannot remember the last time I adjusted the cluster brightness after when I first set it.
