Design Goals:

  • I had an old Ikea Tertial lamp with dents and stuff AND
  • I wanted a way to watch youtube in my bed.
  • It had to be very sturdy too. The extended arm is actually a lever.

Approach:

So, I designed a foot to jam between the headboard and the wall, with a block to put the lamp in.

Then, I made a custom adapter for the phone stand by Arron_mollet22 to fit where the actual lampholder was.

Notes:

I used PrusaSlicer and put a modifier in it to make the key strain portions 100% infill. Look at the screenshot in the PDF file or open the .3MF file directly in PrusaSlicer.

Lay the insert block**on the side** for maximum strength. (See screenshot)
