A while ago i found the PVC Fort maker kit and really liked it, but sadly the parts kept breaking and there were just way to many diffent variations.

Then i started to create my own variation and after quite some versions ended up going for a “Ball Joint” (i didn't know CrazyFort at that point, but it's basically the exact same thing :-D)

After several Variations to reduce the amount of Material and make the Model printable without Supports i ended up with this Version.

This Model is made for 20mm electical Conduit, which is a good balance of price vs stability.

(for ½" conduit you can start the calibration at ~106%)

Printing Instructions:

  1. “Calibration”: start to print one of the balls at 100% with a brim to improve bed adherence, you can go as low as 5% Infill, and these will still be strong.
  2. Cancel the first print after ~1cm of height printed and check the fit with the conduits you will use. Repeat the Calibration if needed by increasing or decreasing the percentage slightly. The pipe should go in pretty easily while holding securily it's position

For the Conduit which in my area are usually 3m long i recommend cutting them into 5 pieces of 60cm each. One of the 5 will have the bigger end on one side, which does not fit into the balls, but these can be used for the feet, which will stand on the floor.

Finnishing touches:

Throw some Blankets, Bed Sheets or similar over the Construction, throw some pillows in there and add some lights for a cozy blanket fort :-)
