I built this to see if it is possible to make a functional fan powered vehicle. You can, and it’s a lot of fun. This sled can go quite fast, and is easy to build. I used a 2206 2200kv brushless motor with a built in esc, spinning a 4in pusher prop(because I can't reverse the motor direction), a micro (sometimes called 9g) metal gear servo and a 10a bec (this is because the motor esc does not have an esc with a bec). I used a flysky remote and receiver I already had, some push rod from a hobby shop, and most importantly, 2mm by 30mm pins to hold everything together. You will need other basic rc hobby supplies and tools. I also used velcro to hold all the electronics to the power tower. I run the whole thing off a 850mah 3s lipo, but it can accept from a 2s 650mah to a 3s 2200. This is a link to a video demonstration. https://clipchamp.com/watch/1U6ItemNqMt

Printing

This is not hard to print, and can be printed without any supports.(depending on filament and layer height, you might want to add supports to the “step” part) I recommend petg, as the sled can take a beating when being driven inside, petg also lasts longer where there is a lot of wear on the runners. Layer height and infill do not matter.

The sonic tevmalbeel

The sonic tevmalbeel is built around a XING2 2207 2755kv brushless outrunner. With a 5in prop running on a 4s lipo, the tips of the blade are less than 100fps away from the speed of sound. This means that this is as much power as can be achieved. With more propwash than some leaf blowers, the sonic tevmalbeel is seriously over powered. With all this power, the tevmalbeel would need better handling, so the design has been altered for controllability as well as durability. Dialing in the rates is important on the sonic tevmalbeel, so take your time getting it set up and trimmed out.

Not all parts in the f3d are necessarily tested. All stl files are tested though.
