An Arduino based DIY project of a rotating table for photography and video takes.
I wanted to build this small table for a long time and finally found the time to do it.

In the video I describe how I glued the electronics-mounting-frames for the stepper motor driver, Arduino and power supply in place with hot glue.
This is a procedure that I would not recommend for PLA anymore.
Either put them in place during slicing and print them together with the base plate in one piece or use a different glue like super glue or alike (something you know works for PLA).
I used a Hilbert curve fill pattern for the top plate as this is giving a very uniform and interesting pattern that is not susceptible to back light reflection as standard uniform patterns are sometimes.
(in the screenshot I selected “top fill pattern”, but printed the top plate up-side down - so make sure you select the right side ;) )
As battery holder I used RS component ones: https://de.rs-online.com/web/p/batteriehalter/6119576
They feature a screw mount hole to stay in place, which were leveraged for this project (at least for one of the two batteries ;) )
The screw mount diameter is just short of 6mm. My favorite supplier for those kind of electronics accessories is Ebay.
Basically every potentiometer works fine. For the 3D model ones with 7mm shafts are best.
I like those buttons for their haptic and durable appearance. The diameter for mounting is about 12.5mm.
I used a Arduino Pro Micro (32u4) - just because I still had it available. Basically every Arduino that supports 5V works fine here (e.g. Arduino Nano, but make sure it runs on 5V).
The bearings are standard 608 bearings with 8mm opening for the printed shafts.
And the motor is a 28BYJ-48. There are many different suppliers available including sellers on Ebay, like https://www.ebay.de/itm/152830297852?mkcid=16
