Looking for a Christmas tree that's easy to print, has places to insert lights, has holes for hanging ornaments, and can be hung up on a door or wall? Well, you're in luck!
This 30 inch tall design is modular and each piece is printable on a Mk3 with an MMU. It was made for a string of battery operated Christmas lights which is why the trunk has a open place to easily remove the battery pack if it's on a wall or door.
There are 41 holes throughout the tree that fit the “Light cap” nicely. The light caps were designed to hold a standard Christmas light nice and snug. What I did on mine was place the extra lights on a string of 50 in the top to light up the star a bit.
The bigger holes on each tip were made to hang ornaments from.
In order to make sure it was sturdy, each piece has holes big enough to fit M3 screws with maybe a washer on each side. (The screw holes are ~3.18 mm in diameter). The top has a nice hanging point as well.
