First of all I would like to thank you for the inspiration from the developers of the previous filament buffers.

As with my predecessors, my main claim is the easy handling when changing the filament buffer for the MMU2S. The filaments must be individually accessible for changing from above.

As a second claim, I have set the design so that as many parts of the existing buffer as possible can be used or no other parts have to be bought.

I attached the PTFE hoses to the "Filament Guide" s by clamping with a screw and nut, because the previous principle does not appeal to me. Here the screws press directly onto the PTFE tubes and in the worst case can brake the filament, so that the drive of the MMUS2 can no longer move the filament reliably - which leads to an error message. The previous principle works if you precisely dose the pressure of the screw on the hose, but it is not my thing because it is prone to errors. Therefore, the hose is clamped on the entire circumference, the filament can move with little friction.

The filament buffer can be screwed to the base.

The "Connection" keeps the buffer at the correct distance from the printer and stabilizes the structure if you do not want to screw the buffer

The hose routing from the drybox to the MMU2S is implemented with as few changes in direction as possible so that the friction of the filament on the hose is kept low. Although this leads to a larger space requirement, it is a more reliable structure in the long term.

I printed the 5 filament guides from PETG. The rest is PLA. Since the contours are often delicate, a raft around the components brings liability advantages.

List of components:
Pos. 1 Filament_Guide 5x (must be printed)
Pos. 2 cylinder head screw DIN 912 M3x10 10x (included with MMU2S)
Pos. 3 square nut M3 10x (included with MMU2S)
Pos. 6 Separate Plate 6x (included with MMU2S)
Pos. 7 support 1x (must be printed)
Pos. 8 nut Din 934 M3 20x (included with MMU2S)
