Ender 6 Thermometer Riser/Modification

Purpose

This model was designed to rise and rotate the thermometer that comes with the Ender 6 lid accessory, sold by CREALITY. It also creates a much smaller obstruction inside the lid than the regular thermometer does - this way nothing should get caught on it.

How to Use

1. hold the bottom cap in the inside of the lid, with the thread facing up
2. screw the upper part of the mount on the outside of the lid, onto the screw thread
3. push the thermometer into the mount hole, making sure the orientation is correct (it should easily pop in securely)

Specifications

ORIGINAL:

• Lower part
  • Height of 20mm
  • Largest outer diameter (the base) is 53mm 
  • Inner diameter of 30mm
• Upper part
  • Height of 85mm (it will collide with the other half of the lid, if this is a problem I would recommend printing spacers to place on the hinges, and consider using the short version)
  • Outer diameter of 53mm
  • Inner diameter of 41.70mm (41 is the diameter of the thermometer, the 0.70mm adds a comfortable amount of spacing so that the tabs on the thermometer aren't overly stressed - this will vary with your print settings, specifically layer width and flow rates)

SHORT:

• Lower part
  • Height of 13mm
  • Diameters are the same as original
• Upper part
  • Height of 63mm
  • Diameters are the same as original

Notes

• Support shouldn't be necessary for the lower threaded piece
• Support will likely be required for the top part
