Overview

I used Nem and Grizzie17's models as inspiration and threw together a new design that was based around a few different features.

  • I relocated the spring to the short edge of the SD card. 
  • Added some cutouts for 6x3mm magnets (that should be superglued in).
  • Optimized the model for printing with a 0.6mm nozzle and PETG
  • Added some cutouts for opening without a latch
  • Slimmed the size down to be closer to a credit card

I also tried to simplify adding a color change mid print to accent the lettering and removal cutouts.

Print Settings

I have been using 0.2mm layers with a 0.6mm nozzle. Default slicer settings for prusament PETG.

I have been adding a color change at 0.8mm to the accent color and back to the base color at 1.4mm.
