This is a modified version of Dr.Print's Ratcheting Thread Winch. I wanted a version I could mount on the wall, so added wall-mount tabs to the base frame. Also made a simple change to the crank to create a pilot hole to screw in to the hub.
Wall mount holes and the crank screw are sized for US #8 screws. I would recommend using washers as well.
To help anchor the crank screw, I printed the gear with 100% infill in the crank-end. This is a modifier in slicing, I've included the GCODE here, but no changes to the model itself.
All other parts can be printed as normal from Dr.Print's model, but be sure to print them at 200% size!
I print the frame in PLA and all other parts in PETG.
Note: I have not tested this to failure. It has consistently held ~13 lbs (6kg) for months. Clearly, DO NOT use for any safety applications.
The author remixed this model.
Sized up and adjusted for wall mounting.
