YAFP - Yet Another Festivus Pole

Model is a simple base for a DIY Festivus pole. The base is sized for a standard paper towel tube with a diameter of 1.75in.

For this you will need the printed base, an empty paper towel tube, a piece of 12" wide aluminum foil, some clear tape.

Step 1: Print base

Step 2: Acquire an empty paper towel tube. In my experience they are 11in long and 1.75in in diameter.

Step 3: Wrap tube with aluminum foil. A standard 12in wide foil should just over hang the top and bottom of a standard 11in long paper towel tube. For my build I thought the dull side of the foil looked better.  Bonus: If you want the foil to wrap further into the tube top to hide the cardboard, trim the tube an inch or so shorter before wrapping.

Step 4: Tape the foil end along the length of the tube so it doesn't move.

Step 5: Insert Festivus pole into base.

Step 6: Commence the Festivus activities on December 23rd!
