Edit 6/29/2024: I finally got around to designing and printing a complete insert for Call to Adventure! Includes 3 more files to print for holding the cards. Will fit sleeved cards from both Call to Adventure and Call to Adventure: Epic Origins. If you have any questions please let me know and I'll do my best to respond!
New files (card holders) printed on my Bambu Lab P1S using Elegoo PLA+ Black.
Original Post: These trays are for the tokens and runes for Call to Adventure and Call to Adventure: Epic Origins. When I got my 3D printer I had already started on a foam core insert for the game. The foam core insert stores the cards for both games in 1 box with room for the rest of the game pieces. I still needed something to store the runes, tokens, and score sheets. I decided to design trays for my 3D printer that fit in the remaining space.
The trays are very simple but allow the box to be stored vertically. I stack the Rune trays on top with the Tokens tray underneath. The total combined height for the trays allows 6mm of clearance from the lid. This is enough to be able to store the 8 player mats and 2 rulebooks on top of the trays without causing any lid lift.
COMPLETE: I have not designed a 3D printed version of my foam core trays for the cards. That is something I might do in the future but it is very low on my priorities. If I end up doing that I will update this project.
I don't know how useful this will be to anyone because it is only part of an insert. However, if you do have any questions feel free to ask!
Designed using onshape
Printer: Elegoo Neptune 3
Filament: Sunlu Pla +
Layer Height: .4mm (I’m sure .2mm would also work)
