Nextion 2.4 inch display enclosure that fits the front panel of Rancilio Silvia V6. Intended to be used as part of a Gaggiuino install.
The design leverages the V6 power and boiler indicator lights to route the wires to the screen. It replaces the front face for the two lights with a shorter version that leaves enough clearance to anchor the screen enclosure and route up to 8 26 AWG silicone wires.
The enclosure has a cut out for micro SD card to flash Nextion firmware, and a fixture and cutout for an USB-C breakout board. The breakout board was intended to be wired to an ST-LINK adaptor to allow flashing the STM32 blackpill MCU. I use it wired to the female side of a USB A extension cable.
To assemble, use 6 M2x5 self-tapping countersunk screws.
To attach to the machine, I used 4 10x3 mm magnets in the back of the lid (most 10mm diameter should fit).
Alternatively, there’s a cutout at the back to use about an inch of 1” width mounting tape (for example, this one).
