Update 27/12/2022.
I've made some amendments to the assembly guide PDF. Added some additional notes on the best way to print some of the parts as well as provided further detail to some sections of the installation process. I've also added a small L or R on the left and right side parts to help people distinguish between them for the MOD installation.
I've also added step and stl files for blank ‘Round Side Parts’ in case anyone would like to add there own logo to them.
Check out Uncle Jessy's build!
This is your new best friend!!!
The companion cube mod is a must have for any Bambu Lab P1P owner. And any portal fan.
This is purely a aesthetic MOD. You do not need to touch the electronics at all!
I've provided a detailed assembly guide as a downloadable PDF. Just download this as you download the STL's. And please please please follow the instructions. It's not a complicated build. Allot of it is common sense. But there will be some instructions that would prove useful to follow in a particular order. I also recommend giving it a quick read before you start printing all of the parts.
You will also require superglue for this build.
I recommend a couple of spools of grey PETG. A couple of white pla. And a small amount of pink pla. Just refer to the sheet below
As a reference each 1 KG spool carrys an average of 330 meters | ||
Totals | Required Material In Meters ( Approx ) | Grams ( approx ) |
White - PLA | 618.48 | 1843.07 |
Grey - PETG | 390.93 | 1192.34 |
Pink - PLA | 47.72 | 142.21 |
All parts are printable on a Bambu Lab P1P.
But I did print on the slowest setting on the P1P.
If you would like to use an AMS with this MOD, I've been informed you can so with the below additional MODs installed.
To sit the AMS unit on top of the printer with the Companion Cube Mod installed.

To help guide the PFTE tube.

PTFE Tube Y-Splitter.
https://www.printables.com/model/308131-bambu-lab-y-splitter-with-pc4-m10-pneumatic-connec, this way you can run either AMS or spool.
If anyone has any questions or queries, even if you might think it is a stupid question, seriously, just ask me. Send me a DM through Prusa Printers and I will get back to you ASAP. I want people to be able to print this. So if anyone is having any problems, just reach out. I'll be happy to help where I can.
If you want to stay up to date with anything I am working on and are perhaps interested in other projects I have in development, please check out my instagram or Twitter.

License adjusted to show non commercial use for Valve IP. But still allowing remix of this design.
