Dragon from 14th Century Strategy guide

This cute little fellow was drawn in the margins ofDe ludo scacchorum, tabularum et marellarum by Nicolai de Nicolai which is a Chess, Backgammon, and Nine man's Morris strategy guide written sometime between 1302 and 1310. You can find the exact page here and if you can read medieval French there is a section discussing the morality of Chess added to the end of the manuscript.
