This Adapter is for all QIDI users who want to upgrade to the MKS-Pi system for using Klipper in the future.

To add the screen to your X-Max, you also need a longer, at least 1m long ribbon cable which can be found here: 300mm extension cable 24p 0,5pitch with an extension adapter

Preparing:

Use 4 heat inserts with max. 5mm hight and place them on the back of the display adapter.

Assambling:

Disassamble the side parts of the X-Max as well as the front.

The Display is mounted with 4 screws. Take it off and place the TS35 adapter instead.

Place the display inside and mount it with 4 screws to the adapter as well.

The ribbon cable follows the way of the old ribbon cable.

Installing the MKS-Pi Klipper:

Printing instructions:

Print was done with Prusament ASA Galaxy Black But you can also use Extrudr ASA Black

  • Supports: no 
  • Perimeters: 2
  • Infill: 30%
  • Top/Bottom: 1 mm

Smooth it if you like with acetone.
