Wanted to showcase these fantastic christmas ornaments that some of you might already have, and I came up with this design.

Youtube Short

Info:

Would work great for a shop stand on christmas stuff, this is why I partly built it.

The reason is split in 6 parts is because I wanted to minimize the amount of green filament and to make easier sticking the LED.

Every section has a hole for wire management on the back left corner.

Front parts have a lip so that you can conceal the LED and protect retinas.

Materials:

  • Screw-in hooks

or anything that allows you to grab the ornaments if you want to hang them

  • All 6 parts printed
  • Cyanoacrylate
  • COB LED I used this
  • LED power supply, in my case 12v
  • [Optional] Female power plug connector like this
  • [Optional] Dimmer like this

Instructions:

  1. Print all the parts
  2. Add hooks if you want to hang the figures
  3. Cut the led to the back side of the front part
  4. Solder the wires to the sections of LED's
  5. Stick the sections of LED's to the front parts and use the pass the wire through the hole of the back parts
  6. Glue the front and back parts together
  7. Attach the female power plug to the end of the wires, put the 3 wires on 1 plug.
  8. Light it up and put the ornaments

Additional notes

[To-do] Make more room on the upper side and probably make every section a bit taller.

Shameless Plug

I sell the ornaments on Etsy, there are many variations available! Ready to ship fast!
