First of all: If you like this model, please klick on like to help me earn some Prusameter. Thanks.
The special thing about this Fidget-Cube in comparison to similar constructions is:
The individual cubes must be assembled after printing. In return, you get a colorful toy that is a real hand cuddler due to its rounded edges and corners, and that can also survive or be repaired in a rough fall.
The S hinges are also used by my flexagon and my Infinity Cube with balls
The “strong hinges” fitting tight and need sometimes a lot of force to put them into place, but thie “strong hinges” are 5% preloaded, so the cubes do not wobble. If you like the loose movement, use the other hinges.
There is a version with chamfer instead of rounding, which is easier to print because there are only overhangs with 45 degrees.
You have to print 4 cubes, 4 mirrored cubes and 8 hinges.
The corner standing version is interesting for color change during the print, and the rounded edges are printing better in that way. The integrated brim has to be removed after printing. Perhaps you have to use the glue stick for a better adhesion. Do not print the hinges together with the rest, because such small parts can get loos from print bed easy.
Down scaling to about 80% works without problems. This saves both filament and printing time.
Please take a look at my other infinity toys
