Micro filament spool with honeycomb pattern

I liked Aikoly's sample-size spool model a lot, but I need to fit a small spool in a space which is too small for those spools to fit (just the configuration of my office). So I remixed an even smaller version. This is essentially just the inside circle of that other model.

The centre hole is the same size so that it still fits on a standard filament holder.

The top and bottom pieces still print flat and screw together. There is a small hole for the filament to feed into to start the wind. One advantage is that both pieces can fit on the bed at once.

Of course, it is not ideal to wrap the filament in too tight a curve, so I have made the barrel diameter as big as I can while keeping a useful small amount of filament on the reel. It will hold up to about 10m of filament.

I might just give these away as Christmas presents with small samples of filament on them!

I recommend printing in PETG at 0.24 layer height.

EDIT: Added v1.1 models and .3mf. The change is visually imperceptible, but strengthens the honeycomb rim of the spool. I recommend you use the new version, but I have left the old versions if you prefer. The parts of each version are compatible with the matching part of the previous version.
