This is a carrying case for the different heads for my F2D FORA engines.
I made a few different versions of it that can hold 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 pcs.
The case is designed to prints the two parts interlocked (as one piece). The clearance is 0.3mm, make sure your printer can do that before printing, or the case will not be usable.
Additionaly you need 8 neodymium magnets - 5mm diameter and 3mm thick
(The hole in the part has 5.2mm diameter and 3.1mm depth).
I added the step files, feel free to download them and add you own name or change the design.
Supports:
No
Resolution:
any - I used variable layer
Infill:
15% or higher
Filament:

Notes:
I printed in PETG, be aware if you print PLA it can get soft in direct sun.
Use white PLA or just print in PETG.
You need to glue in the magnets
Once free off the printer, move the hinges a bit to make sure they move freely, this will get better over time.
Before gluing: Make sure your magnets fit in the case, if not make the hole a little bigger, rotary tool or soldering iron, file - what ever it takes, but dont make it too big.Step 1
Line up a pair (2) of magnets side to side, but a bit of super glue inside the hole and press the 2 magnets in place.
Step 2
Put a piece of plastic or tape over the newly installed magnets, put another pair on top of the tape/plastic.This will insure you have the magnet polarity correct.
Step 3
Add glue to the hole and press the case closed, you might need to hold it there while the glue sets.
Step 4
Repeat step 1-3 on the other end.
Step 5
Once the magnets are installed, you can add a bit of glue to the top of them and rub it into the small spaces. Wrap your finger in tape or put it inside a plastic bag. Then simply smooth out the glue, to add a thin coat to the top, this will help keep the magnets in place.
Finishing and use
Once you are 100% sure the super glue has set, you can close the case - it should make a very satisfying "snap".
Once you have your engiens heads in the case you might need to jiggle it a bit to make sure no case catches the inside edges.
