I just remixed this great design so that it uses all the available space. The original design would slide rearward during use, allowing stuff to more easily fall between the resulting gap. In the end, I was able to get mine 18mm longer than the original, but that required quite a bit of smashing the ribbon cables into the extrusion gap. In the end, I included a 17mm longer model here since that is the longest that I think everyone should be able to achieve with creative routing of their ribbon cables.

I've included the OpenSCAD design file that uses RoboHut's original STL so you can print one the size you want. Just drop RoboHut's original STL into the same folder as the script, open in OpenSCAD, and adjust the length to your liking.

All credit goes to RobotHut for the great idea.

enjoy !

It shouldn't need a brim but make sure to add a layer of gluestick if you're printing with PETG on the smooth sheet, or you might delaminate your PEI sheet while trying to get it off.
