Postal Xmas Kitcard (send your wishes in 3d print around the Globe)

Send a different kind of Christmas / New Year card this year by sending your own printed one... 

It is an interactive card that allows the recipient to fold a 3D starfigure by pressing out the 2 basic figures.

Use a envelop to send it. You can send them as is, but you can also use the back or blank space at the front to add a message with a permanent marker / fineliner.

Let's send them around the globe!

The cards are 100% flexible (3 layers 0.2mm = 0.6mm!) and will survive any kind of sorting machine. They can be folded almost in half, sending it as a regular postcard will not cause any problems. 

Printed in PLA with 0.4 nozzle and 0.2 layer heigth.

The top layer (0.8mm) is the highlighting of the star cutouts, the text engravings and the line arround the card. Print them with a different color.

I've also added cards with an extra layer (1mm) on the message, so you can print in 3 collors, where the top layer is the greeting message.

I have added 3 basis designs and a blank card on which you can add your own message (the basic engraving at 0.8mm is there). Use a text generator, e.g. Text2STL. Choose only text and a text height of 1mm. Textsize will be around 12-20. 

For folding the star:

Make sure you fold all the folds well before you create the final shape. Both halves hook into each other and keep the star in its shape.
