Strands Siberia SR 22" Bracket

History:

After installing a LED bar on my car with the license number plate bracket (the one that you screw on to your bumper, behind your existing license plate) the weight was making the bar bounce up and down while I was driving. The vibrations and the flickering of the lights made it a nightmare to drive with, especially at highway speeds and on small and narrow roads. I've searched for support bars that was compatible with the LED bar housing but couldn't find one that I liked.

Solution:

So, I took some measurements of the side profile of the LED bar and modelled it in Fusion 360, sliced it with PrusaSlicer and printed it. Now the vibrations are gone and a solid mounting is in place for my LED bar.

The LED bar I've modeled the brackets for is the Strands Siberia SR 22" - Flat / 56 cm (purchased in 2021).

Printing instructions/tips:

I used the Generic PLA 0.20mm SPEED settings that is standard in the PrusaSlicer. You could tweak the settings if you find the standard settings not to work, but I was happy with the result. 

Installation instructions/tips:

You will have to buy generic support bars to attach to the M4 /M5 hex bolt. I used stainless steel hex M4 bolts and nyloc M4 locking nuts for my application. I used self-tapping screws to secure the bar to my front bumper.
