clip on adapters for ms02 headphones on Pico 4
these are branded as mobi mountain ms02, but can be found on amazon/ ebay/ aliexpress under various brandings.
amazon UK for example have them listed as Youcut as picture shows.
you simply slice off the headband padding to expose the wire that runs across the strap, take a small screwdriver to the hinges holding headband strap to the speakers, and remove the hinges (press the pin out to release hinge part)
this leaves you with the speakers themselves joined by one wire (non removable) and the spring steel bars, which can then be simply slid into the printed adapters.
post printing- run the bars through both ends of the bracket to clear its own space for a friction fit - it will squeeze the bars to correct size first time you put them in- do this off headset first.
then in use, simply use the 3.5mm port to connect an aux cable to your headset.
the bluetooth is pretty poor quality on these headphones as they suffer interference sound, however this is not present on aux or SD card mode- yes, they have SD card mode
bonus to using these over normal headphones is you can have music loaded onto an SD card, and the volume for that music playback is controlled by the controls on speaker, it does not change the volume coming in from the aux cable, meaning you can have music playing in VR if you wish that's easy to control without disrupting your game.
of course, if you do receive a pair of headphones with better bluetooth than mine, this dual use will also work for bluetooth audio and answering calls when in VR when paired to a phone.
pretty sweet solution for what costs £13 and the sound is much better than the £13 cost would have you believe, as headphones- they are very bass heavy where the spring steel clamps them tight to your ears and gives you a headache, but when mounted in these brackets, they can just rest over your ears, still have plenty of bass and can be worn for hours.
much comfier solution with the bonus of playing music independently of VR compared to big over the ear headphones.
to adjust the tightness to your ears, simply bend the metal bars if needs be, simple!
for headphone storage, simply slide out the bars from the brackets and wrap neatly to put behind lenses in carry cases.
a cheap, simple solution that's super simple to print and install.
