Train Switch Ikea train Brio (update)

Very nice print. Used the glue version. Works great.

Printed form PLA, friction too much or too low (train opens junction), I think small kids will not be able to operate and don’t destroy railway 😆

Easy to print, works well. Printed in PLA, movable parts in PETG.

i am wondering and searching if it would be possible to make the switch intelligent, like everytime a train drives through it switches automatically. otherwise i would probably need to build sth with servomotor and ESP32 manually but that would be way to hardcore :D

printed in PLA for the track and PETG for the Switch. a little bit too loose, even with the 2.2mm rod, but otherwise perfectly.
used the click-in version for the switch, works fine.

maybe i'll add some friction to the switch as one train always pushes it straight, you have to hold the lever - but that is good operation training for the small ones ;)

Rail part printed in high speed PETG 0.2mm layer height 0.4mm nozzle. I painted on supports around the possibly problematic circle, which in retrospect wasn't a smart decision, it would have probably bridged just fine and the support cleanup from the confined space was tedious - will print another one to confirm.
Switch and lever were printed in PLA (if it can still be called that, found my first ever spool from 6 years ago, severely degraded but somehow still printable), 0.12 layer height 0.4mm nozzle. Printed all versions of everything to try what works best. Clip on switch cracked immediately upon assembly, but this may also be attributed to the bad filament used. It still holds well even with just one peg part though. the 3mm lever would not fit, 2mm is reasonably tights and 1mm is good too.
The rail connectors fit perfectly with ikea, lidl and woody rails and the switch seems to guide train safely, will test with a powered one once I finally print it.
