i wanted to design a tool head for my printer for the orbiter extruder. i made it very easy to print without the need for supports, but you will have to get bridge settings dialed in for the blower especially when printing in abs/asa. (which i recommend doing)

i printed all my parts in abs with 40% gyroid infill, 5 top/bottom layers, and 4 walls. you can probably do less but i wanted some solid parts that would creep easily. i recommend 0.1mm layer height for the main front and rear bodies, you can also get away with adaptive layer height but just make sure the print layer height is set to 0.1

i also printed in an enclosure with the print cooling fan set around 40% speed, definitely helps with the bridging on part cooling fan.

this model does require some heat set thread insets, i used these https://www.mcmaster.com/94180A331/

with this you will have to adjust the two z endstop screws on the x gantry to bring the nozzle closer to the bed.

please let me know it you like it, or if you have any suggestions on something I've missed.

Happy Printing!!!

Update. i have added a little more clearance on the belt clip for the pcb and added a chamfer to the front of the part cooling duct for a nicer look.

Update 2 i have a made a whole new front end for this and it has 2 versions. one with heat set inserts and another with nut slots.

you can find that here, https://www.printables.com/model/342791-anycubic-i3-mega-orbiter-upgrade-with-bltouch
