I'm gifting Cyberpunk 2077 to a friend for Christmas so I made this simple desktop ornament to go with the game. Stands freely on a table or desk top and displays the Cyberpunk 2077 logo.
This is printed in two parts. The base or background is black. The logo is printed separately in yellow and pressed into recesses in the base. Logo sits proud of the surface by about 2 mm.
Approximate size is 170 x 50 x 12 (mm).
If your printer is reasonably well tuned, then most of the logo pieces will drop into place easily as there is a 0.3-0.5 mm gap all around the logo. If the fit is loose, then add a dab of glue to keep pieces in place. The most difficult parts to fit are the pieces “ber” and “pu” as these have interior sections in the letters “b”, “e” and “p”. Sanding should not be required but some downward, even force may be needed to press these pieces into place. One way to make fitting of tight pieces easier is to rub a candle along the edges. The cold wax provides a little lubrication for the pieces which don't naturally slide easily across each other because of the layer lines.
Unless you have super bed adhesion, I'd suggest printing the yellow logo on a good quality raft. This will ensure that the parts will stay in place for the whole print, especially the small pieces. Even with a textured PEI sheet (pictured) the surface contact area is so small that the numbers dislodged if not printed on a raft.
The base and logo were sliced in Simplify 3D. Printed in PLA with layer height 0.2 mm and line width 0.4 mm. Logo was printed slowly (30 mm/s) and base at 60 mm/s. Raft had a couple of top layers with 100% fill for a nice, flat surface. Gap from top of the raft to the first layer of the logo was 0.14 mm. After the print completed and cooled down completely, separation by hand was easy.
