[See "Does it work?" below before printing this!]
This nozzle attachment is for the EGO cordless blower model LB5300 (see photos), but may fit other EGO cordless blowers as well; see the included drawing for relevant dimensions. This blower is sold without a nozzle attachment, and I did not feel like spending $13 to buy one (especially when it's more fun to make one).
I ended up making three versions of this attachment:
Note that the tube for the blower is made for a "bayonet" type attachment. To attach the nozzle fit the slot over the protrusion and rotate to lock in place.
Does it work? My hope was that this would concentrate the air stream from the blower and make for a more concentrated and powerful air stream at a greater distance. I performed a crude test by blowing over a cardboard box from a distance, using both baffled and no-baffle nozzles, and with no nozzle; there was no significant difference among the three tests. The nozzle does appear to "concentrate" the air flow closer in, but it also makes the blower quite a bit louder. So I probably won;t be using this nozzle attachment much, if at all. On the plus side, I saved a few bucks by not buying one, and I had fun making it.
