I use a wooden box to hide my server and network gear. It's my PAF home lab rack in the living room😎😎

Since the box is shut (can't be seing the ugly gear you know) the temperatures get quite high.

Installed some 60mm fans to circulate some air in the box, and made these covers which can be inserted from the inside. Used a hole saw to cut the hole in the box.

Also made a simple cover for the inside part of the fan, so that the cables from the box suddenly won't block the fans.

The box still gets a bit hot, but now the temperature is around 33°C mean instead of above 40°C

Parameters

The included STL is for a ~54mm hole, but all parameters can be easily customised in the Fusion 360 file to fit every need.
