Vertical Featherboard for the fence of the Bosch GTS10XC.

 

You'll need per set

  • 1x Featherboard
  • 1x Top Bracket
  • 2x Slot Nut
  • 4x Knob (Update 19.12.2022: Knobs designed a bit smaller to ensure better handling)
  • 4xM6 Hex bolts
    2x M6x20 for the upper knobs
    2x M6x15 for the fence knops

Note, that you can use my knobs in 4 ways:

  1. Hex bolt head in the knob, nut on the counter part
  2. Hex bolt head in the counter part, nut in the knob
  3. Nut in knob, nut in counter part, threaded rod cut to length and glued to knob nut (Loctite recommended)
  4. Nut in knob, nut in counter part, threaded rod cut to length and glued to counter part nut Loctite recommended)

Using the best suitable way for you also allows to use longer Hex bolts than specified, also 4x M6x20 are possible. Use what you have in stock.

 

Assembly (with my way to use the knobs):

  1. Use super glue to install the M6x15 Hex bolt into the slot nut (2x)
  2. Install the slot nuts into the fence groove; they can be installed from above
  3. Use super glue to instal a M6 nut into the knob (2x)
  4. Install the Top Bracket and secure with the knobs
  5. Use super glue to install the M6x20 Hex bolt into the knob (2x)
  6. Use super glue to install the M6 nut into the Top Bracket (2x)
  7. Install the Featherboard onto the Top Bracket and secure with the two M6x20 knobs

The Featherboard can support stock material of up to 53 mm and can be extended 40 mm away from the fence; minimum cut width 10 mm (Featherboard thickness = 8 mm + 1 mm play left and right side).

  • 0,3 mm
  • 30% ±45° Infill
    100% infill for the slot nuts
