This iPad stand lets you choose from three viewing angles between nearly vertical and 45°. Tested with iPad Air and iPad 3, it comes in a taller version which may have problems without internal supports at the bottom of the grooves, and a shortened version designed to minimize that issue. I created it with modo 701 and the amazing Mesh Fusion system http://www.thefoundry.co.uk/products/modo/plugins/meshfusion/ .
I printed the tall one with 0% fill and 1 shell, 0.2mm layer height. The unsupported bottoms of the grooves did not print well on my Replicator 2, but that fast sample was still quite usable.
I made the shorter version so there would not be much space for the unsupported filament to fall into, and added 10% fill in the included .x3g files. I printed with a raft, though it may not have been necessary. I look forward to hearing your settings and experiences.
