Christmas xmas bulb and base for tealight
Description
PDF12.27.24 update – replaced the modified base with a fresh stl base.
12/10/22 update: added remixed base that is easier to screw/unscrew and moves the led up as much as possible. Also included amazon links for the ones i purchased.
- screw on bottom cap is now external. this allows for much easier on/off.
- cap has an interior lip that will make the tealight flush with the top opening. I tested this out on 4x different tealights and it works for all.
- the base is made up of modifier parts and negative volumes. You can adjust the height of the riser if your tealight is a different height.
- The height of the base on MY tealights are 15.5mm and 16.5mm tall. I am fine with the slight movement on the one that is 15.5mm tall.
bulb
I planned to give these away as gifts and wanted multiple walls to increase durability. The led cutout on the original file would print as a solid surface when using more than 1 wall.
- i use 3x walls with a 0.4mm nozzle, using petg or pla.
There is a small cylinder modifier in this 3mf file. This allows you to print multiple walls while retaining that cutout.

These 3 have timers. They will stay on for 6 hours, then turn off for 18x. These are a nice set it and forget it solution. They do cost more than the standard on off variants.
This last one is a rgb that fades between colors. This does NOT have a timer.

Bottom base has a modifier in the 3mf that holds the tealight in best position.
