UPDATE - Added v14 model in which I have made some minor tolerance improvements based on a few dozen more polymaker spools.

First I use a small piece of blue painters tape and secure the end of the filament flat to the filament winding. Next I pull one cardboard side off of the spool. I clear away the spool center opening and make sure to remove the glue. Then slide the adapter into the spool. I have tried this adapter with over a dozen spools and found it range from fitting very easily to being quite snug but it always fits in the spool center. I then slide it onto the Bambu spool half with the taller center section making sure the notch in the adapter fits over the locking key on the Bambu spool. Flip it over and remove the other cardboard side, clearing away the spool center, and attach the second half of the Bambu spool.

I print these in PETG with 0.8mm nozzle and 0.35mm layer height. I have included the fusion file in case anyone would like to make adjustments. I have been using these for about a month and have not had any spool failures or slippage. I also snip the filament end in the center of the spool to allow room for adapter to be inserted and it makes me think the filament wont get stuck when reaching the end of the spool.
