Moiré lamp shade

This lamp shade is compatible with E27 lamp sockets which feature an external screw thread for mounting shade. I did design it however specifically for the Skaftet cord set from Ikea (https://www.ikea.com/at/de/p/skaftet-lampenaufhaengung-textil-vermessingt-10466362/). It should work well with the Sunneby cord sets from Ikea too though. 

The included cable holder is optional. I just really don't like the enormous ones which are included with the Ikea cord sets. So I designed a more compact one which works for lamp hooks that are recessed into the ceiling. If you need more clearance you can adapt the z-height of the cable holder accordingly. 


Print advice:

This model was designed for Prusa Slicer, it might not print correctly in other slicers.

The lamp shade needs to be printed in a very translucent material. I used white Prusament PLA which has a nice off-white colour but lets a lot of light through when printed as thin as this shade. 

The holding ring of the shade and the cable holder are best printed in PETG or PCTG or materials like ABS, ASA etc, as long as you can print them with the necessary layer adhesion. 

Two options for holding rings are included. The flat one is easy to print and mounts the shade 2 cm higher than elevated holding ring. The latter needs supports which can be tricky to remove and likely need some manual clean up with a hobby cutter and maybe sanding.
