Hi Everyone,
I wanted some fast-printing gift boxes which are also suitable for general storage, but I couldn’t find anything that fitted my needs already available, so I designed these simple boxes with lids to print in vase/spiralise mode. The smallest box and lid combination can be printed in around 40 minutes total using approximately 20g of filament, and I have included a number of different sizes/configurations, one of which also has optional decorations (Gingerbread Man).
Main features:
My print settings:
All boxes and lids are designed to be printed in vase/spiralize mode, so will appear solid if printed using default slicer settings.
They can also be printed in non-vase mode (which can be useful for printing multiple models on the same build plate) by setting infill and top layers to zero, but this would take slightly longer and would also introduce a seam.
0.8mm line width for maximum strength
0.32mm layer height.
25-30mm/s wall speed.
I used a 0.4mm nozzle (on an Ender 3 V2) for all parts, but a larger nozzle should allow for even faster printing.
The optional decorations (Gingerbread Man) should be printed in non-vase mode.
For personal use only please.
Happy printing :-)
