**********

Inspired by @Extrutim's Grandma's Favorite Filament Clip, Grampa wanted to join the conversation.  He loved using Grandma's clip (and printed many to use) and after a while he saw a couple areas that could be improved but he wasn't permitted to do a remix, so he designed his own from scratch, which surprised me because he barely knows how to use a computer. ;-P

Grampa's thinking:

  1. Add a little handle feature so the small little thing can be handled a bit more easily.
  2. Redesigned the filament retention feature to have a little more grip.
  3. Rethought the filament capture feature entirely to allow the clip to remain on the filament when printing (so you don't end up misplacing the thing) as well as allow it to be removed anywhere on the filament without slipping it off the filament at the very end.
    1. The clip stays on securely but loose enough to not cause binding against the filament when it is in use for printing.

How it stays on:

I tested a few of Grampa's design iterations and I think this one works really well, what do you think? Try it and see if you like it.  It's a quick print and very useful to help manage your filaments.

If you add this to your collection and/or download the model, please click the LIKE button and give it some STARS!

Also please post a make; surely Grampa would enjoy seeing how you make use of it - it would certainly brighten his days and maybe help convince him to come out of retirement. :-p

Remember, you can also earn some Prusameters if you post a pic of your make.

Happy printing!
