Works great! I anchored this to a pedestal with 3/8 concrete anchors. I couldn't get washers for the anchors but they have a flanged head so no worries there. Printed with 6 walls, and 30% infill.

@AlejandroHue_1717719 After attaching the adapter to the half pier how did you get the 3/8" anchors in as the pier partially blocks the holes for them? Thanks, Jim

@JimC_4438160 I actually attach the adapter plate to the anchor first, and then the pier extension. It's a bit awkward but a long enough driver should work.

For what it is worth. The quality of the machining and aluminium of the iOptron and ZWO products is first rate. The center plate of the iOptron centre plate is 3mm thick. It's extremely solid and strong. All the best.

Hello. I thought I would share with you my solution for attaching the ZWO pier extension to the iOptron pier. It does not require anything but a 1-3/4" long 3/8" 16 thread pitch bolt. Please have a look at the attached pictures to see the method for attaching the pier.

@jamesbaillies_816652 Thanks James. I thought about that, but there are a couple of things I don't like about that. First, it is a single bolt. Second, that center piece of the iOptron pier is much thinner and not as secure as the main plate of the pier and itself is held on with small bolts, so even though mine is plastic, I think it is more stable. It has been in use for over a year, kept outside 24/7/365 and is now in its second winter and is still very secure. I just bought another pier and another PE200 and plan to get an AM3 when funds allow to host my RedCat51 or Samyang 135 setups so I can use the AM5 for some larger setups like my 80mm Stellarvue. I think I may modify my design to use a third bolt, the one that is offset. May consider even more bolts, not sure. But ZWO put those two holes in there to mount to the other tripods and thought that two was enough, so that is what I used.
