Dyson Motorhead v7 HEPA filter attachment (v.2)

The adapter installs into the main body of a Dyson™ Motorhead v7 vacuum cleaner and allows you to attach the HEPA final filter (instead of the standard motor cover). print in the orientation shown in the model files, with supports (everywhere, snug). Orient it correctly (the lug cutouts should be oriented vertically, see photo) and snap it in. Then place the HEPA filter on (turned slightly counterclockwise) and turn clockwise to engage. Don't force anything. There's electronics and wires in there, and you shouldn't pinch or tear out anything. You can also lever the attachment out with a flat screwdriver or a similar implement well suited for prying. The warnings against damaging the electronics also apply (Plus, don't stab yourself).

This is a newer, improved version, fixing several shortcomings of the previous model, mainly:

1. improved seal, and
2. improved, more reliable locking

Also take note this is not suited for people with allergies. The HEPA filter does filter the bulk of the air coming out, but there is still a small amount of blow-by that could trouble people with severe allergies. If this is a concern, buy the original part.
