Made in Zbrush for the Sculpting contest. My own concept, but heavily inspired by Paul Bonner's art. Besides Paul's orcs, some people find here Toadie from Gummi Bears. Which is, well, unsettling ;)
This is my first attempt ever to create a complete model and adapt it for printing purposes. Kind of testing "how messy can I get in my clueless sculpting, and still be able to transfer a bit of the form and the detail into a g-code" ;-)
The aim was to make the model completely support-free. Each part of the pose, or the prop you see - is designed with the idea of easy printing in mind. Despite the heavy overhangs, the finished print looks nice (0,6 nozzle, 0,16 layer height). Plus - thanks to good decimation algorithms, the mesh is rather lightweight (~275 k vertices, ~550 k triangles). A lot of detail didn't quite make it to the final STL, but the model is now watertight, light, easy to slice and handle.
Hope you'll enjoy printing it!
Add brim. No supports needed.
