This is a re-mix of a re-mix, based on this:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3442346
Note : If you want to use this as an actual planter, PLA prints can be "leaky." I took the precaution of giving the inside of the prints a coating of clear urethane varnish.
The original is a Lloid figure; the re-mix (on which my re-mix is based) turned the original into a planter by hollowing it out and adding a drain hole. My re-mix closes the hole and adds taper to the inside so that it can be printed upside down with much less support material.
To make the modifications I used FreeCAD convert the original stl file from a mesh to a solid (and also to fill some holes in the mesh and do some additional cleanup). I then used OnShape to remove the drain hole and add taper to the inside bottom. I could probably have done the whole thing in FreeCAD but I am just starting to learn that software. I experimented with trying to reduce the wall thickness a bit more in order to reduce filament use and print time, but this resulted in holes from the eyes and mouth. I have included the stp file from FreeCAD here for anyone who want to play around with it further.
The OnShape CAD files for this are available here:
Print in PLA using the 3mf file provided; otherwise:
The 3mf file is for "250%" size but can be scaled up or down easily. Gcode files are provided for 100% (100pc) and 250% (250pc) sizes.
